Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Shway)
literally translated means "wind and water."
Feng
Shui is
the ancient Chinese art of balancing energy through the placement of
objects. The goal of Feng Shui is for everything to be in harmony or
balance.
The
Chinese word for energy is "chi".
Through "chi" our lives are linked to nature and the rhythm of the universe,
and Feng Shui helps improve human chi by adjusting, enhancing, and balancing
environmental chi.
Feng
Shui is about interpreting environments, and using different approaches to
connect with the energy of a place, and fine tune it to make it work for
those that are living or working there.
What is the
Bagua? It is an eight-sided map that is used as a tool to
distinguish the 9 different aspects of life and personality.
The Bagua can
be applied to a city, a neighbor hood, a house site, an entire house, an individual room,
or any space you wish to Feng Shui. The Bagua is a template that you place mentally or physically over
the area you wish to Feng Shui.
The career section
of the Bagua is
overlaid on the center of the main entrance to the space you want to Feng
Shui.
